Long and Wide Load Specialist

With a need to deliver more options for long loads, we've recently purchased a new Trombone trailer, which can stretch out and support 24m. This means we have the ability to transport lengths up to 27m throughout Auckland with our specialist equipment.

Transporting these types of lengths is definitely not for the faint-hearted. You need a project manager who can execute the job safely and efficiently, plan the best routes, organise the appropriate permits and pilot the loads.

Fortunately for Swanson Transport, our project manager, Erik, relishes these types of loads. He finds them equally challenging and exciting. Nothing makes Erik happier than bringing a smile to our customer's face by delivering a safe and well executed transport job.

Erik recently performed a job in which he transported a massive main sail for the world's largest single masted superyacht. The sail was 25m long with a weight of four tonnes. It was safely transported from the Devonport Naval Base to Avondale. Erik planned the route according to traffic and road restrictions and was able to deliver smoothly.
