Our expanded Pilot Services.

Swanson Transport have been providing pilot services for over dimensional loads for the past 30 years. Our Pilot Vehicles can often been seen on Auckland roads in the very early hours of the morning piloting loads up to 9 metres wide and 27 metres long.

We have recently expanded our services to include onsite guidance. This new piloting service provides slinging/dogging and direction to operators of our big units when we are lifting materials into position where the operator cannot see the hook. For this work we use top of the line Motorola RT’s with our own private channel for the Operator and Onsite Pilot to communicate with one and other. The other advantage for our customers is that with our onsite pilot it normally reduces the time it takes to complete multiple lifts.
