Environmental Policy
Swanson Transport Limited recognises the need for our customers to be satisfied that we have addressed our legal and moral obligations to the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996
We have done so and have carefully identified those areas of risk to the environment and have acted accordingly
In as much as Swanson Transport Ltd has only a minimum impact on the environment during the course of our business we can assure our customers that:
1. We have identified minor diesel and oil spillage from blown hoses as a potential hazard and have spill kits available along with trained staff to clean up should this occur.
2. Occasionally we carry Dangerous Goods (according to schedule). All of our drivers involved are trained and licensed to do this task.
3. We are aware of the importance of our ‘carbon foorprint’ and the need to reduce this. To this end we maintain a vigilant surveillance of our fleet and are constantly seeking new ways to deliver our customers product and goods in the most efficient manner possible.
4. All of our vehicles are well maintained to ensure that they are always operating at the maximum level of efficiency to minimise fuel usage.
5. All truck washing is done at our onsite truck wash.
